Risa's Spot

What a great introduction to this world!  I love how it started slow letting us get to know each of the characters, but it didn’t last forever. The prologue quickly picked up the pace and hooked you in right before chapter 1. I appreciate how easy it is to start understanding the mechanics of how the setting works, how Sable’s hidden powers are working, and all done with easy-going descriptions that the author gives us. It’s such a great concept on how her power is described as cold when lying and warm when telling the truth, and it’s easy to visualize. I’m very curious to see how this mechanic is going to play out when politics are involved and people speak in half truths and twist others words to tell lies.
